Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
Fruits
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries washed and drained

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and buttermilk.
Combine and Bake
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  2. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
