Blueberry Syrup Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed

Method
 

Making the Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a jar, discarding the solids.
  6. Allow the syrup to cool before sealing the jar and storing it in the refrigerator.
