Ingredients
  

Corn
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob husked and cleaned
Water
  • 4 quarts water for boiling
Salt
  • 1 tablespoon salt optional, for seasoning

Method
 

Boiling the Corn
  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add salt to the boiling water, if desired.
  3. Carefully add the husked corn to the boiling water.
  4. Boil the corn for about 8-10 minutes, or until tender.
  5. Use tongs to remove the corn from the pot and let it drain in a colander.
  6. Serve hot with butter and seasonings of your choice.
