Prepare the Glaze
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add to the saucepan and stir until the glaze thickens, about 2 minutes.
Cook the Salmon
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Place salmon in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the salmon and brush the bourbon glaze over the top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
Serve
- Remove salmon from the skillet and drizzle with extra glaze. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
