Ingredients

Beef Patty Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef preferably 80/20 for juiciness
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for added flavor

Method

Prepare the Patty Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
Form the Patties
  1. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  2. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until desired doneness is reached.
  3. Let the patties rest for a few minutes before serving.
