Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar optional
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Sauce
  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan.
  4. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are soft and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Stir in the balsamic vinegar if using, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil just before serving.
