Ingredients
  

Hot Dogs
  • 4 pieces hot dogs Beef or turkey
Chili
  • 1 can chili beans 15 oz can, any variety
  • 1 cup ground beef Cooked and seasoned
  • 1 cup onion Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Or cheese of choice
  • 1 cup jalapeños Sliced, optional
  • 1 cup mustard For serving
Buns
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns Soft and fresh

Method
 

Prepare the Chili
  1. In a saucepan, combine the cooked ground beef, chili beans, chopped onion, chili powder, cumin, and tomato sauce. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Grill the Hot Dogs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the hot dogs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly charred.
Assemble the Chili Cheese Dogs
  1. Place each grilled hot dog in a bun. Top generously with the prepared chili and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Add jalapeños and mustard if desired.
