Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Add-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
