Ingredients
  

  • 2 large oranges
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional

Method
 

  1. Peel the oranges and cut the peel into strips.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water, and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the orange peels to the boiling syrup and simmer until tender.
  4. Remove the peels from the syrup and let them dry on a wire rack.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave.
  6. Dip the dried orange peels into the melted chocolate and place them back on the wire rack.
  7. Let the chocolate set before serving or packaging.
