Salad Ingredients
  • 2 large cucumbers sliced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise preferably full-fat
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar for tanginess
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dill fresh or dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers with salt and let them sit for about 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, dill, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. After 10 minutes, drain any excess liquid from the cucumbers and add them to the mayonnaise mixture.
  4. Toss everything together until the cucumbers are well coated with the dressing.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
