Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • skillet
  • pot

Method

  1. Prepare your ingredients by mincing garlic and grating Parmesan cheese.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then cook for about 7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for one minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream while scraping up any bits from the pan.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted into a thick sauce; add pasta water as needed for consistency.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then toss it into the skillet with the creamy sauce. Slice chicken and place on top.
