  • 4 strips smoked bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  1. Rinse collard greens under cold water, remove tough stems, and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
  3. Add onions and garlic to the pot; sauté until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Stir in collard greens with a pinch of salt and pepper; cook until wilted (5-7 minutes).
  5. Pour in chicken broth to cover greens; simmer for 30-40 minutes until tender.
  6. Stir in apple cider vinegar before serving.
