Ingredients
  

  • 1 box cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • 12 oz melting chocolate
  • ½ cup heart-shaped sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a bowl.
  5. Gradually add buttercream frosting to the crumbs until moist enough to form balls.
  6. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Melt chocolate according to package instructions. Dip each ball in melted chocolate, let excess drip off, and sprinkle while still wet.
  8. Allow cake pops to set completely before enjoying.
