Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef or turkey
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cans Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz each
  • 1 can Kidney Beans 15 oz, drained
  • 1 can Corn 15 oz, drained
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese for topping
  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips for serving

Method
 

Chili Preparation
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, corn, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Transfer the chili to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  3. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Serve hot with tortilla chips on the side.
