  • 8 oz creamy goat cheese
Breading Station
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme or oregano) optional
  • Oil for frying vegetable or canola

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients and set up your breading station with three bowls: one for flour mixed with salt and pepper, one for beaten eggs, and one for panko breadcrumbs mixed with dried herbs.
  2. Scoop out goat cheese and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined plate.
  3. Roll each ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Fry the cheese balls in batches for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
