Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast approximately 2 ¼ tsp
  • ¾ cup warm water 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Toppings
  • 1 can canned tomatoes 14 oz
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
  • your choice of toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, etc.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in olive oil, salt, and half the flour; mix until smooth. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
Sauce Preparation
  1. Combine canned tomatoes, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in another bowl; adjust seasoning as needed.
Pizza Assembly and Baking
  1. Punch down risen dough and roll into desired shape on a floured surface. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  2. Spread sauce evenly over the dough, sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously, and add your favorite toppings.
  3. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake pizza for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool slightly before slicing.
