Pasta and Vegetables
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets chopped into bite-sized pieces
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Cooking Steps
  1. Prep your ingredients by chopping the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add pasta and enough water (or vegetable broth) to cover by about an inch. Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.
  4. When the pasta is halfway cooked (about 5 minutes), add broccoli florets and continue cooking until both are tender (about another 5 minutes).
  5. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes before serving.
