Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a small bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.
- Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Bake the Ribs
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
- Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.
Finish with Barbecue Sauce
- Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
- Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
Serve
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
