Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
Garnish
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Meat Sauce
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the meat sauce and toss to combine. Serve hot, garnished with grated parmesan and chopped parsley.
