Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20) Formed into 4 equal balls
Burger Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Optional
  • 4 buns burger buns Toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce Shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • ½ cup pickles Sliced
  • ¼ cup ketchup To taste
  • ¼ cup mustard To taste

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and roll them into balls. Do not overwork the meat.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the beef balls on the hot surface.
  2. Using a spatula, smash each ball down to form a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms.
  3. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese to each, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the griddle for 1 minute.
  2. Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  3. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
