Method
Prepare the Griddle
- Preheat the Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
Form the Patties
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions, about 4 ounces each. Roll them into loose balls.
Cook the Burgers
- Place the beef balls on the hot griddle and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns on the griddle for about 1 minute.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun and adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
