Ingredients

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
Burger Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • ½ cup pickles sliced

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Prepare the Griddle
  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
Form the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions, about 4 ounces each. Roll them into loose balls.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Place the beef balls on the hot griddle and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
  4. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the griddle for about 1 minute.
  2. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun and adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
