Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
Burger Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • ½ cup pickles sliced
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup mustard

Method
 

Prepare the Griddle
  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle on medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
Form the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form them into balls, do not overwork the meat.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Place the beef balls on the hot griddle and immediately smash them down with a spatula to about ½ inch thick.
  2. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and add a slice of cheese on each patty.
  3. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Place the cooked patties on toasted buns and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.

Notes

For added flavor, season the beef with salt and pepper before cooking. You can also add other toppings as desired.
