Method
Prepare the Griddle
- Preheat the Blackstone griddle on medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
Form the Patties
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form them into balls, do not overwork the meat.
Cook the Burgers
- Place the beef balls on the hot griddle and immediately smash them down with a spatula to about ½ inch thick.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and add a slice of cheese on each patty.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Burgers
- Place the cooked patties on toasted buns and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
