Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk or milk with vinegar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Peanut Butter Frosting
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
Toppings
  • 2 bars Snickers candy bars chopped
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Frosting and Assembly
  1. In a bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth.
  2. Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of peanut butter frosting on top.
  3. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped Snickers.
  4. Top with the second cake layer and frost the top and sides of the cake with remaining peanut butter frosting.
  5. Garnish with more chopped Snickers and drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
